A “project resuscitator” will keep the 15-year Tsunami on the Square summer performing arts and culture festival going, despite the announcement of its demise.
Prospects looked very dim after Andrew Johnson-Schmit stepped away from his leading role as Executive Director in January and Tsunami’s board of directors said it could not find a replacement.
But on Monday, Prescott resident Tom Von Deck said that he would step in and keep the wave rolling with a new management paradigm that he hopes will be more sustainable.
He has a plan to create a new, “decentralized” management system that doesn’t rely so heavily on one individual.
